The amazing south of India has a lot to offer; it is located on the border of Kerala and Karnataka, formerly a stalking ground for kings of Mysore. Being a part of the Nilgiri Biosphere Reserve and the thirty-seventh addition to Project Tiger in 1999, this National Park is nearly considered a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. This forest spread across an area of roughly 650 square kilometers. It's covered with hills, falls, denes, and forest is the home of many wild animals like Royal Bengal Tigers, monkeys, crocodiles, mammoths, leopards, and deers. In 1955, Nagarhole National Park got established as a wildlife sanctuary; upgraded to a National Park in 1988; eventually in 1999 declared as a Tiger reserve.
